Consultant
Mr. Eduardo Ayala
|
Eduardo Ayala, from Actus Consultant Group, was born in Mexico City
and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Due to his parent's business position, he spent most of his
teen years in Japan. He then, came to New York to attend college. Eduardo Ayala is fluent
in three languages, Spanish, English, and Japanese. When we first interviewed him back
in early January, he was a new comer for Actus. He told us " Everything is a challenge.
I am busy but I am making the best out of it". To describe Eduardo, words such as passionate
and sincere can suit his character. For this consultant introduction, we are going to introduce you Eduardo.

At Actus as a sales consultant, my task is to make appointments, phone calls and set up meetings with various
companies within the New York area. We also negotiate various conditions and agreements with some of these
companies. We work with candidates from the JET Program, a foreign exchange program between the United States
and Japan for students. From this program, we sometimes recruit natives who are familiar with the Japanese
language and the Japanese culture. Since, I have only been working here for a little over a week, I have so
many things to do, and I have a lot to learn. To express the situation where I am in, "it is hectic down here,
but I love challenging myself, so this job is a good fit for me. My job is to mainly visit business companies
with my partner who is in charge of providing job-seeking assistance. So far, there is a 50/50 ratio of applicants
who are native Japanese and English speakers within the job seeking agencies. To help jobseekers have confidence
within themselves and at same time allow them to rise to the next level, it is important for us to tell the facts
of information because decision making is a critical process.
I graduated from university last December with degrees in both marketing and international business (double major).
I was thinking about only majoring in marketing at first, but it didn’t seem to satisfy my needs. So, I thought,
because I had an international background, it would be a good idea to also major in international business.
The education was great. Even after graduating from college, I still open up my textbooks because I become
very comfortable when I read them. Since I was not able to exercise as rigorously due to a shoulder injury
that I suffered from my early college wrestling days, I began to spend more time on my studies and I still
often read textbooks during my off-days. I am still thinking about attending to graduate school and doing a
Masters in economics after several years of training and experience in Actus.
As of now, my goal is to be able to satisfy the needs that many HR departments have. When I talk to different
companies on the phone, I realize that many HR managers are interested in our services. I believe if I am able
to talk to them face to face, we can deepen and broaden our conversation a step further, rather than just handing
out our brochures. From New York, New Jersey, to Connecticut, and all around the Tri-State area or from any other
state, my hope is to contribute to all for the welfare of the company, and get to know the applicants and employers
beyond the level of a simple conversation over the phone. To be best we must stand out above the rest.
