Provides direct assistance to immediate supervisor (Assistant Manager, Human Resources) on a variety of human resources related issues.
Assists in ensuring compliance to Hitachi’s values (quality, customer service, etc.), HR policies and procedures (EEO, performance appraisal, salary administration, etc.) by communicating the same to employees, as appropriate.
Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
Counsels management on resolution of minor employee relations issues to help promote a productive, cooperative, and teamwork environment. Recommends actions to assist in the resolution of plant/employee problems/concerns.
Responds timely and accurately to requests from the Department of Labor (DOL) for information relating to claims for unemployment filed by terminated employees. Coordinates all activities regarding scheduled unemployment hearings with all parties required.
